Access Programmes and Reforms in the Cross-Border RMB Market

King & Wood Mallesons, together with ASIFMA and J.P. Morgan, has jointly prepared a report on “Access Programmes and Reforms in the Cross-Border RMB Market”.

The report provides a recap of the existing access programmes in the cross-border RMB market and gives market participants a transparent overview of all of the current programmes and reforms. The report also presents the authors’ observations on some of the recent market trends and takes a look to the future at some of the key anticipated new channels.

“The most interesting aspect of this ASIFMA paper is the need to keep apace with the rapid development of the RMB internationalisation process. The speed at which this market develops makes it incredibly challenging (and fascinating) to ensure that we capture all of the latest positions and developments in each of the various access channels to the onshore RMB market.” said Minny Siu, Partner of King & Wood Mallesons and co-author of the report.
